Abstract:
In the article the authors have presented a study of the management of water and canalization services in Romania nationally and regionally, at the moment when Romania joined the European Union. Were studied economic indicators of the service like: average water consumption per capita at national and regional levels, average water consumption per capita in an urban environment, at national and regional levels, the average consumption of water for household use on a person at national and regional levels. Were determined the requirements of the European Union towards this service. There are brought comparisons of water consumption between different countries of the European Union and Romania, the actual situation in the field is assessed, case problems are formulated. Finally, the authors determined the role and impact of development of the water and canalization services on the development of Romanian tourism.
