Abstract:
Food safety is a major public health concern, particularly in the context of the consumption of poultry meat, which is prone to contamination by zoonotic bacteria. Microbial contamination reflects hygiene conditions along the food chain as well as the misuse of antibiotics in animal production. The objective of the study was to investigate the microbiological profile and antimicrobial resistance of bacteria isolated from refrigerated poultry meat and potential risks for public health.
