Abstract:
The paper addresses the methodological issues of research regarding the behaviour of the tribosystems with cyclic slip in terms of contact dynamics processes. Considering the fact that in the contact occur simultaneously processes of different origin (mechanical, thermal, hydrodynamic, electrical, chemical) that affect each other, their dynamics can only be equated with the energy. As dynamic variables one can use the local power dissipation of energy on the race course, the energy dissipated in a cycle and the temperature in the contact area. These variables are registered in the experiment in form of time series, which, processed by nonlinear dynamics methods allow the assessment and forecasting of the developmental process in the tribosystem.
