Student Fashion Day a launch pad for young fashion industry talent

Abstract

For the 2024 edition, the event brought together students from both the Republic of Moldova and Romania, each presenting unique collections that addressed current themes such as sustainability and environmental impact of fashion. To gain insight into the significance and impact of this event on the careers of young designers, we spoke with the event promoter, Dr. Sergiu Tronciu, Dean of the Design School at UTM. Dr. Tronciu shared details about the concept and mission of Student Fashion Day, and explained how this project helps promote new talent on the international fashion stage.
