Abstract:
Today, due to globalization and cultural diversity, specialists in various fields must adapt to new social demands, and IT professionals are no exception. The social sciences and humanities contribute to IT specialists’ ability to understand problems, dilemmas, and develop critical thinking skills. IT professionals encounter ethical and social dilemmas whose solutions largely depend on their training in these areas. The ability to analyze and evaluate relevant information enables IT specialists to formulate hypotheses, engage in problem-solving, and assess the practical consequences of their work. One of the most important contributions of the social sciences and humanities to IT education is the development of effective communication skills, allowing specialists to interact productively with others and find ethical solutions to professional challenges.
