Abstract

The article describes the results of a study on creation and exploitation of the virus free pome fruit propagation material stock. Over 70 varieties of apple, pear and quince are grown in mother orchard. 20% of mother trees are tested every year by immunological methods.100 722 apple cuttings, 27 454 quince cuttings and 4 211 pear cuttings have sold to economic agents of the republic within 10 years. At present institute can provide nurserymen virus free pome fruit cuttings for the production of 1,5–2,5 million graſting annually.
