dc.description.abstract The paper assesses 6 MWe CHP plant feasibility, on solid biomass, combined cycle, with integrated gasification (BIGCC) under the conditions of the Republic of Moldova. For the considered power plant the cost of heat and electricity have been evaluated, which later on compared with power utility energy cost. In addition, BIGCC technology was compared with another attractive technology - the internal combustion engine (ICE), fed with syngas. Calculations done for two scenarios show that BIGCC power plant can compete both the power utility and ICE. en_US
