dc.description.abstract | Given that the blades for wind turbines are built from composite materials that are anisotropic, it is necessary to determine previously the mechanical characteristics of obtained material in order to provide the required strength. This paper presents a finite element analysis of the mechanical characteristics of the composite material (polymer resin reinforced with glass fibers). In ANSYS finite element analysis software were modeled and stretched two composite samples with different properties according to standard. Results which describing the state of stresses and strains that occur in the material were compared. | en_US |
