dc.description.abstract | Nicolae Petrică (1944-2018) was born in Ozerne, a village in the province of Odesa, Ukraine. He served in Afghanistan as an advisor to the 9th and 14th Infantry Divisions of the Afghan Army (1985-1987) and oversaw their command in 26 combat operations. From 1992 to 1993, he was Chief of Staff of the National Army, and the first Defense vice-minister of Moldova. At the time of the interview he was a Brigadier General and a professor of military science at the Technical University of Moldova. | en_US |
