Abstract:
The relations between the European Union and the Republic of Moldova have intensified in recent years. In 2009, Moldova joined the Eastern Partnership, and on July 1, 2016, the Association Agreement between Moldova and the EU entered into force. It includes the initiative to create a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA). The Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area with the EU gives Moldovan goods and services the privileged access to the EU market. The implementation of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area is supported by significant financial support programs from the EU.
