dc.description.abstract The work represents a national approach to the consequences of climate change and technology on the cherry species, based on the impact of adverse climate change on the sector and technological measures for adaptation, control and improvement in relation to adverse climatic events in the fruit sector. The biological and ecological basis of the cherry tree is analyzed, reasoned practical recommendations are made for the efficient design, establishment and operation of modern high- productivity cherry plantations. The cropping systems and productivity potential of cherry plantations are described, with proposals for practical procedures for realizing the ecological, biological and technological potential characteristic of each land sector and cropping system. Thus, the foundations are laid for a new methodology for cherry fruit production with practical application, useful for studying and estimating the impact of climate change and cultivation technology. It is recommended for students, master's and doctoral students in agronomic specialties, specialists in production units and amateur fruit growers. The fruit grower who undertakes to follow the technological procedures in this monograph for cherry will become a good fruit producer. en_US
