Abstract:
The objective of our researches was to test, in field conditions, the seed drill machine SZ-3, 6A using in distribution system the grooved rollers with different angle of groove orientation to the drive shaft generator and experimental movable flaps. The seed drill was tested for sowing barley, in agro-technical terms, on an area of 1 ha. As seed material there were used grains of barley variety „Odeski 100”. The seeding was performed by the method of normal lines at a depth of 4 cm. The used experimental distribution devices had the following geometrical parameters of the grooved cylinders (Uc) and mobile flap (Ucl): a) Uc = 22º, Ucl = - 9º; b) Uc = 16º, Ucl = 0º. According to the methodology used in the study there were taken 8 rows with a length of 1 meter. It was concluded that the mass of the sown barley ears with experimental devices is higher than those sown with standard distribution devices. The biggest mass of ears has the row 1 (Uc = 22º, UCL = - 9º) even if the number of ears is about the same as on the rows sown with standard equipment. It was observed a correlation between the number of ears per linear meter and ear mass. The number of ears on the row 2 (Uc = 16º, UCL = 0°) is greater than on the row 1 (Uc = 22º, UCL = - 9º), while the value of ear mass is reversed.
