Abstract:
In order to elucidate the BioR remedy influence, a study was conducted on 3 groups of quails destined for reconditioning, 80 birds each. The tested remedy was administered intramuscularly, in dose of 0,5 ml/head. The birds in the experimental group 1 received BioR twice, with a pause of approximately 10 days, while the experimental group 2 received the remedy only once, at the beginning of the study. Quails in the control group received 0,5 ml saline 0,9%. It was established that BioR exerts positive effects on the physiological and metabolic processes in adult quail bodies, especially on the protein metabolism. Thus, in the experimental groups, the total serum protein level decreased by 7,1 – 15,0% compared to the control group. The same tendency persists regarding serum albumin level. It is significant that the intensification of protein metabolism led to an increase in serum of urea level by 3,7 – 21,1% compared to the control group. The tested product induced a decrease of uric acid level in quails prior to slaughter by 14,8 – 16,3% compared to the control group. The creatinine value, on the contrary, increased in the groups treated with BioR by 4,8 – 14,3% compared to the control group. These positive results were well reflected in the productive parameters in birds treated with the BioR remedy. In conclusion, we can state that the tested product did not cause side effects in quails. It had positive effects both on the protein metabolism, as well as on the productive parameters in quails.
