Abstract:
The liver is one of the biggest internal organs which plays a major role in the digestion and maintenance of the metabolism. It represents the central organ of biochemical homeostasis of the organism, which contributes to the production and regulation of energy through the detoxification of various metabolites, synthesis of proteins, and regulation of the glycogen storage. The liver has multiple functions including fat metabolization, immunological function, vitamin and mineral storage, bile production. It also filters the blood, metabolizes carbohydrates and produces albumin. The main aim of the research was to determine the level of the spread of the liver diseases through doing veterinary examinations in ruminants in the slaughter house “ Tehnostel- Car” in the village Hâncesti, the Republic of Moldova.
