| dc.description.abstract | The emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has revolutionized multiple sectors of contemporary society, including psychology, opening new perspectives and challenges in the relationship between the human mind and advanced technology. This phenomenon marks a paradigm shift towards digital humanism, a concept reflecting the increasingly intimate interaction between humans and intelligent technologies. Futuristic movies such as I, Robot depict a world where humans coexist with robotic companions on a daily basis, a vision that now closely parallels reality, where interactions with chatbots can lead to meaningful emotional bonds. The release of the first version of ChatGPT on November 30, 2022, officially marked the entry into the era of transformational conversational agents (chatbots), significantly altering how we perceive and interact with technology in our daily lives. This paper explores the AI landscape as it intersects with psychology, providing a critical and informative overview of how artificial intelligence is reshaping the field. It highlights emerging opportunities in digital therapy while addressing key ethical considerations that must be acknowledged in the future development of advanced AI-driven psychological interventions. | en_US |
