Abstract:
The disturbances of oxidative deamination in the heart and brain tissues in crush syndrome demonstrate an increase of GDH activity. In conditions of hyperbaric oxygenation the intensification of oxidative deamination in these tissues is accompanied by the maintenance of L-glutamate concentration in the heart while its concentration in the brain tissue is increased. These modifications determine the metabolic role of hyperbaric oxygenation as a general adaptation mechanism in crush syndrome.
