Comparative study of the spindle-shaped crow forms in the intensive apple-trees plantations

Abstract

A great number of modifications of the spindle-shaped crown forms determined the necessity of a comparative study of these ones in the conditions of the Republic of Moldova. Among the six studied systems formed on two apple-trees varieties Generos and Florina, it was established that the most active growing processes and leaves surface formation were noticed at the apple-trees with Bush crown form. Also, this crown form ensured a higher yield during the first two years of fructification.
