Abstract:
The object of the researchit was nine proveniences of the european beech, originating from the Republic of Moldova (3 proveniences), Romania (2), and Ukraine (4) from experiment of the experimental field of the Institute of Genetics, Physiology and Plant Protection. The average survival per experiment of the descendants, of the tested provenances, in 2021, it was 85.7%. The higher survival rates, were recorded by the descendants of the provenances of “Plaiul Fagului” (96.9%), “Băiuți” (95.6%), “Cernăuți” (94.9%) and “Zacarpatie” (94.6%). The descendants of the “Suceava”, “Codrii”, “Lvov” provenance, had a survival of 72.6-74.0%, ie lower than the average per experiment. The highest average of height of the descendants it was reached by "Suceava" (11.22 cm), "Plaiul Fagului" (10.62 cm), and "Chernivtsi" (10.24 cm). The descendants from "Codrii" (8.75 cm) had the lowest average height. The descendants of the origins "Zacarpatie", "Ivano-Francovsc", "Hîrjauca" and "Lvov" have heights of 9.06-9.63 cm. The differences between the average height of the tested decendants are significant.
