dc.description.abstract	The paper presents the results of a comparative analysis of the statistical characteristics of summer precipitation totals for the period of 50–60 years of their observations on hail-protected and adjacent territories. It is shown that, against the background of the general tendency of decrease in the amount of summer precipitation, an increase in the totals in a range of 4–9% is recorded at weather stations located in the center of the protected territory compared with the amount recorded at the weather station outside the hail-protected territory.	en_US
