Abstract:
This paper examines the relevance of applying traditional patterns in interior design. Based on the analysis of the use of patterns from Chinese decorative arts in modern interior spaces, various approaches and techniques for integrating traditional patterns into interior design are identified. The study explores the contemporary application of traditional patterns in furniture, the design of major interior surfaces (floor, walls, ceiling), and lighting design. Traditional cultural symbols play an important role in architectural interior design. They give spaces a unique cultural aesthetic and enhance structural functionality. With the increasing exchange and mutual learning among different civilizations and the need for creative transformation and innovative development of traditional culture, effectively applying traditional symbols has become essential. To address this, we must deeply explore the connotations and values of traditional culture, combining them with modern design concepts to create indoor spaces with unique charm. Simultaneously, we should focus on innovatively developing traditional culture, presenting it in new forms through continuous exploration.
