Lucrarea analizează iconografia feminină în numismatică, evidențiind rolul monedei ca instrument de comunicare simbolică, propagandă politică și transmitere a memoriei colective. Pornind de la ipoteza că reprezentările feminine reflectă evoluția relației dintre putere, identitate și cultură, studiul urmărește transformarea acestora de la imagini divine și alegorice la portrete ale unor figuri istorice reale. Metodologia se bazează pe o analiză comparativă a emisiunilor monetare din diferite epoci, corelată cu contextulistoric și ideologic specific fiecărei perioade.
The paper analyzes female iconography in numismatics, highlighting the role of coinage as a tool of symbolic communication, political propaganda, and the transmission of collective memory. Based on the hypothesis that female representations reflect the evolution of the relationship between power, identity, and culture, the study traces their transformation from divine and allegorical images to portraits of real historical figures. The methodology relies on a comparative analysis of coin issues from different historical periods, correlated with the specific historical and ideological context of each era.
