Abstract:
The article presents a comparative analysis of biogas utilization pathways in cogeneration plants and/or its direct use in the transport sector, through the gradual transition of the vehicle fleet from traditional fuels to renewable ones. The paper provides an assessment of existing technologies, a calculation of production costs, as well as the potential for greenhouse gas emission reductions for the solutions under consideration. The analysis is based on real data and models applicable at the local level, with the aim of substantiating viable strategies for integrating renewable sources into the energy and transport infrastructure.
