Abstract:
The purpose of the work is to increase the efficiency of the sea buckthorn dehydration process by applying microwave treatment. To achieve the proposed goal, an experimental electrical installation was developed, which applies the method of microwave treatment of the raw material in the dehydration process. As research object in this study, sea buckthorn of agricultural origin was selected, because currently, the production of these berries has increased significantly and is mainly stored in a frozen state, but dried products are of great interest to the food and pharmaceutical industries, and their dehydration by the methods currently used is difficult, due to multiple problems and adverse reactions that significantly reduce the efficiency of the process. The main results obtained based on research using the designed installation are the determination of the optimal sea buckthorn treatment regimes by the proposed method and the increase in energy efficiency, productivity and quality of finished products. The significance of the results obtained lies in solving the existing pressing problems currently faced by specialized enterprises in the field, with an essential increase in the efficiency of the sea buckthorn dehydration process, with the application of the proposed microwave treatment process, mainly with increasing the dehydration speed, energy efficiency, product quality and profitability.
