dc.description.abstract This article describes the evolution, basic areas of study, and developing trends in the field of game design. From its primitive period in arcade gaming, to the integration of technologies such as AI, virtual reality, and augmented reality, extending into fields including entertainment, education, and health. In the creation of any successful game, there is a vital role that the major subject fields - concept development, artistic design, programming, and user experience - play. The article also deals with challenges such as rising development costs, concerns about sustainability, and the need to be inclusive. It shows the importance of innovation and adaptability in facing the challenges that will support continuous growth and success in the industry. en_US
