dc.description.abstract Game design thrives on creativity and innovation, often drawing from traditional sources such as literature, cinema, or existing games. However, truly groundbreaking ideas often emerge from unexpected inspirations, which have the potential to redefine narratives, mechanics, and aesthetics. This paper delves into unconventional sources, including natural phenomena, ancient mythology, modern art, and science fiction, uncovering their transformative potential for game design. Beyond these, it highlights the often-overlooked influence of everyday life, historical events, and human psychology. For instance, the dynamic systems in nature can inspire immersive environmental mechanics, while the timeless themes in mythology offer rich material for storytelling. Similarly, psychological principles can deepen emotional engagement, and historical events provide authentic backdrops for interactive experiences. By analyzing these diverse sources and illustrating their practical applications, this study provides a roadmap for designers to craft games that captivate, educate, and challenge players. The aim is to encourage exploration beyond the familiar, fostering innovation that elevates gaming from mere entertainment to an impactful form of creative expression. en_US
