dc.description.abstract Modern agriculture faces multifaceted challenges, including labor shortages, the need for increased efficiency, and the diverse operational requirements across different farming tasks. This paper presents the development of an Internet of Things (IoT) enabled modular platform designed for the flexible construction and expansion of agricultural robot (Agrobot) chassis. This platform addresses the need for adaptable and cost-effective robotic solutions capable of supporting various precision agriculture applications in Moldova. By integrating principles of modular design, robust mechanics, and IoT connectivity for system monitoring and control, the platform serves as a versatile foundation upon which task-specific Agrobots can be built. Through stakeholder analysis focusing on the needs of Moldovan agriculture, particularly small and medium-sized farms, we propose a solution that lowers the barrier to entry for adopting customized robotic systems. Our platform emphasizes reconfigurability, payload adaptability, and provides a basis for integrating various sensors and actuators (such as computer vision systems or precision tools), supporting autonomous operation and remote monitoring via a mobile interface. The paper outlines the platform's requirements, architectural design, and potential performance metrics, highlighting how a modular, IoT-enabled chassis approach can enhance agricultural efficiency and accelerate the adoption of diverse precision farming technologies by local farmers. en_US
