dc.description.abstract Nanotechnology is transforming electrical engineering by enabling unprecedented levels of miniaturization, efficiency, and innovation. This cutting-edge technology leverages nanomaterials like graphene and carbon nanotubes to develop nanoscale transistors, which are smaller, faster, and more energy-efficient than traditional components. These advancements are critical for modern applications, including compact integrated circuits and high-performance computing. Practical applications of nanotechnology in electrical engineering extend to energy storage and sensing technologies. Nanostructured batteries and capacitors offer higher energy densities and shorter charge times, revolutionizing the energy landscape. Nanotechnology also lowers costs, produces stronger and lighter wind turbines, improves fuel efficiency and, thanks to the thermal insulation of some nanocomponents, can save energy. en_US
