| dc.description.abstract | The European Procurement Directives have introduced legislative provisions aimed at modernizing and facilitating the award of public contracts, improving transparency, equity and interoperability in this area. In this respect, instruments such as the Tender Electronic Daily (TED), the single classification system (Common Procurement Vocabulary) and the Public Procurement Information System (SIMAP), tools facilitating the public procurement process, thus guaranteeing a better quality of service for citizens. Any purchase process, whether public or private, may derogate from the legal provisions, so the participants involved may commit certain deviations. Most often, the theory of public procurement denotes these deviations as "fraud in public procurement". | en_US |
