Abstract:
The monograph PRECESSIONAL TRANSMISSIONS consists of three volumes and is structured into 12 chapters with distinct contents, which as a whole refect the development of precessional transmissions from idea to implementation. Volume 3 - Precessional Transmissions: Surface Generation and Applications - includes chapters 9 -12, devoted to the development of manufacturing technologies of conical toothed wheels based on new methods of generating teeth with non-standardized convex/concaves flank profiles, les, made by spatial tumbling-rolling with tools of „cone trunk” shape, of „peripherally profiled disc” shape and of cylindrical shape on numerically controlled multi-axial machine tools, including through non-conventional technologies with plastic pressure injection, metal powder sintering, electroerosion and 3D printing. Representative examples of precessional transmission applications with power and kinematic bolted AB and toothed AD gears are also presented in the form of reducers or drive mechanisms based on them for various machines, mechanical systems and technological equipment. This monograph, by the way of approaching the problems, represents an interface of the academic textbook and of the research-design guideline, comprising all the stages of product development: from idea - to theoretical and experimental research; from design - to manufacture and implementation. The work is addressed to researchers in the feld of exact sciences, engineersmachine builders, Bachelor, Master and Doctoral degree students in higher technical education, especially to all those concerned with the research of mechanical transmissions, as well as those interested in innovative activity.
