dc.description.abstract The passage from the animal communication characterized by the pre-verbal semantic processes to the human communication happened throughout time. The lack of eloquent proofs makes the study of the genesis of human communication difficult, yet the existence of certain signs favors the inductive process. In the distant horizons of communication, the ecophonic sounds transformed in ideophonic and taxophonic sounds, and the representation of the object by pictograms was replaced by the ideograms or taxograms. Surely, the phonetic and graphic revolutions were not produced only at the level of speaking / writing, but involved the neurocortical networks too, that became to distinguish among the semantic contexts of producing the sound-imitation or the drawing-imitation. Moreover, the new kind of communication, based on the data processing at the level of the neocortex, did not estrange the human being from the environment, but offered the possibility of using the old system of animal signs together with the new semantic mechanisms. en_US
