dc.description.abstract Statistics in tourism is one of the basic sciences. It is thanks to statistics for several decades that Tourism has been able to rise to the whole industry, rather than the usual pastime in a foreign country. According to various sources, it is possible to distinguish between tourists according to various criteria, starting from the purpose of entry into a particular country and ending with the methods of their placement. Over the past few decades, Tourism Statistics has undergone great changes, because of the military actions that took place in the 19-20 century, most of this activity was suspended. However, in the 90's it again took the most important position for the study of Tourism in general. To assess the inbound tourism in Moldova, it is sufficient to analyze the data obtained from various border posts that collect information using special questionnaires and register the travelers. It is these data that make it possible to understand which regions people come from, and, as a consequence, what causes they are pursuing. en_US
