dc.description.abstract The present study aims to establish the influence of the BioR remedy of algal origin on some parameters of the functional state of the liver in young rabbits. The experiment was conducted on 4 groups, each of 7 rabbits, starting with the weaning period. The BioR remedy was administrated to young rabbits from 3 experimental groups, in different doses (0,5-1,0-1,5 ml/head), while to the control group it was administrated saline - 1,0 ml. The product proposed for testing was administered 3 times: on the day of weaning, on the 14th, and on the 26th day after weaning. Till the administration of the tested product, blood was collected randomly from 5 rabbits, and after that blood was collected 2 times, from 5 animals in each group: on the 14th day after weaning and at the end of the study. It has been established that the BioR remedy during the 3 months study caused no adverse reactions. The biochemical researches of the young rabbits treated with the BioR remedy showed a general decrease of bilirubin by 10,5 – 19,1% in the first investigation, and by 15,9 – 20,3% at the end of the study compared to the control group. The tendency of decrease persists also in the analysis of the total bilirubin fractions: indirect bilirubin, and free bilirubin, a phenomenon that can be considered positive in young growing animal. The obtained results indicate both the inoffensiveness of the tested product, and the positive effect of this product on the body and especially on the liver, values confirmed also by the bioproductive parameters that are higher as compared to the control group. en_US
