dc.description.abstract Sunflower is often prone to damaged by a widerange of pests and diseases, which in some years can significantly reduce theyield of this crop. In this regard, the development and improvement of integrated methods of combating harmfu organisms is of paramount importance in the technology of sunflower production. Analyzing numerous literary sources, it can be concluded that a complex of integrated control methods has been developed against many pests, but against some, the chemical method is the main one. However, as a result of theuse of insecticides, not only does the environment be comepolluted, but also forms the resistance of insects to the drugs used. The possibility of using biological agents in sunflower pest control has not been studied enough. In this regard, the purpose of these studies was to study the biological effectiveness of the microbiological preparation Metawhite in the fight against soil pests on sunflower. In the control against soil pests, the most effective drug is Metawhite with a consumption rate of 10,015,0 l/ha, which provides a reduction of soil pests at the level of 81,82 – 94,74% and a reduction in the number of damaged plants at the level of 83,33 – 91,30%. Metawhite is recommended as an insecticide against soil pests of sunflower, by carrying out one treatment be foresowing, with a consumption rate of 10,0-15,0 l/ha. en_US
