Abstract

In the actual national strategy for sustainable development of the service for water supply and sewage, for the water supply to rural areas, are provided expressly measures to contribute to the sustainable development of water supply public services. According to European legislation, can not consume drinking water by the population if not ensure and maintain continuously water quality in accordance with the provisions of the ISO quality standards. In this context, these objectives can be achieved in two ways: a. to a professional manager in the provision of water for each village holding such a centralized system; b. a regional operator for central water supply system. Options for either of the two solutions is based on water supply system analysis. The paper presents results of an analysis for the selection of water supply strategy for a group of 12 villages of the Iași district.
