dc.description.abstract This article highlights the significance of road infrastructure and its different components. It outlines three kinds of infrastructure development: leading, synchronous, and catching up. It also studies transportation history and the evolution of road networks, including vertical and horizontal infrastructure. The article highlights the need of strong road infrastructure for fast, safe, and efficient travel, as well as economic development and a high standard of living. It shows the importance of mathematical modeling in understanding traffic patterns, forecasting pavement performance, and optimizing traffic control systems. en_US
