dc.description.abstract This work reports on rapid hydrothermal synthesis of ZnO nanorod arrays on p-type GaN substrate. Heterostructures have been studied by SEM, XRD, Raman, photoluminescence and electroluminescence techniques. Also, light emission investigations show that obtained ZnO nanorod – based LED structure posses a good potential for device applications and further development. ZnO nanorods could possibly be used as a building unit in light emission or photodetection opening opportunities for the fabrication of multifunctional nanodevices. en_US
