Experimentul etnografic: noua experiență de teren a antropologului contemporan

Abstract

Experimentul etnografic reprezintă modalitatea etnografică prin care antropologii se aventurează la crearea cunoștințelor și contribuie la transformarea domeniului pentru construirea de problematizări antropologice comune. În situația dată vorbim nu de o antropologie activistă, ci de un experiment etnografic prin care este definită filosofia cotidianului grupului studiat. Astăzi, un antropolog nu poate fi doar un observator de teren atâta timp cât grupul țintă cere nu doar realizarea unei observări participative, dar ș i o cercetare bazată pe acțiune. Reflecțiile antropologilor Seth Holmes [3] și George E. Marcus [2] sunt deosebit de relevante pentru argumentul pe care ne propunem să-l aducem în discuție. În așa fel, scopul principal al acestui eseu antropologic este analiza practicilor etnografice care au dus la o „redefinire a etnografiei” și la examinarea „culturii eseului antropologic” (writing culture). În astfel de situri etnografice, fundamentul ar fi colaborarea în timpul muncii de teren. Argumentul lor a fost propus pentru acei antropologi care lucrează cu alți oameni de știință, activiș ti, funcționari publici sau artiști cu scopul angajării antropologilor în diferite forme de expertiză și problematizare a practicilor convenționale de producere a cunoștințelor.

The ethnographic experiment represents the ethnographic modality through which anthropologists venture into knowledge creation and contribute to the transformation of the field for the construction of common anthropological problematizations. In the given situation, we are not talking about an activist anthropology, but about an ethnographic experiment through which the everyday philosophy of the studied group is defined. Today, an anthropologist cannot be just a field observer as long as the target group demands not only participatory observation but also action research. Reflections of anthropologists Seth Holmes [3] and George E. Marcus [2] are particularly relevant to the argument we aim to make. Thus, the aim purpose of this anthropological essay is to analyze the ethnographic practices that have led to a "redefinition of ethnography" and to examine the "culture of the anthropological essay" (writing culture). In such ethnographic sites, the foundation would be collaboration during fieldwork. Their argument was proposed for those anthropologists who work with other scientists, activists, civil servants, or artists with the aim of engaging anthropologists in various forms of expertise and problematizing conventional practices of knowledge production.
