dc.description.abstract The important development of new types of fibers and fibrous materials based on them is a modification of fiber - one of the simplest and most promising ways that allows them to receive wide range of defined functional properties. We have considered three methods of modifying the fiber: the physical, chemical, and composite. In tabular form presents the main methods of modification and achieve the effects. The use of fiber composite obtained by the methods and chemical modification, has led to that proposed several decades ago, methods of detection fibers, which even included in the standard methods of detection fibers are no longer responsible for their purpose. en_US
