Prestarea serviciilor bibliometrice în biblioteca universitară

Abstract

The authors plead on the redefinition and expansion of the role of libraries in university institutions through the development of innovative services, inclusive offering bibliometric services. Bibliometric evolved from a sub-discipline of biblioteconomy and science information to an instrument of evaluation and comparative analysis of visibility of production of scientific and academic research activities. The article deals with the Republican Scientific Agricultural Library experience concerning the provision of services based on bibliometric data involving : status of scientific journals (indexed in databases or ISI); bibliometric analyses of publications of researchers; setting Hirsch index of authors; assistance researchers regarding personalizing the scientific production the database Scopus, etc.
