Abstract:
The research was performed on ejaculates obtained from boars raised at the State Enterprise "Moldsuinhibrid" and accepted for processing, meaning on those ejaculates which showed more than 75% sperm motility. Immediately after the macroscopic and microscopic examination semen was diluted with GHŢS and in the composition was introduced the substance of the BD-1 being produced at the Institute of Microbiology and Biotechnology of ASM in concentrations from 1 to 10%. The samples of diluted semen were stored at +4°C for 5 days. The sperm motility and the speed of sperm movement were appreciated with a 24-hour interval. The obtained experimental results showed that BD-1 as antioxidant and membranotropic is not toxic to the boar sperm in the studied diapason of concentration. The best results were obtained when the concentration of the BD-1 which was introduced in the composition of the GHŢS constituted 7% with the mobility of 24.5%, sperm with progressive movements of 8.5%, VAP of 54.6 mm / sec, VSL of 27.5mm / sec and VCL of 115.2mm / sec after 5 days of storage at +4°C.
