dc.description.abstract The paper develops an algorithm for calculating and analysing asynchronous torques of higher harmonics arising as a result of non-sinusoidal distribution of magnetomotive force created in the air gap of a multiphase asynchronous machine. The calculation results and experimental data are presented as convincing conclusions for six-phase machines with symmetrical and asymmetrical winding, which are very useful for the optimal design of these machines (high-efficiency electric motors). en_US
