dc.description.abstract Wastewater from carpet/dyeing industries containing a large amount of toxic and biochemically difficult-To-oxidize ingredients poses a serious danger of water and environmental pollution. A fundamental issue in the development of the method of electrochemical water purification was the determination of the role of electrode processes of oxidation and reduction of organic pollutants, methods of electroflotation, coagulation, electrochemical destruction and their combination in order to obtain the maximum treatment effect. The water samples used in experimental studies have been collected after first stage wastewater treatment facility/station of a carpet manufacturing enterprise. The results of the study of the effect of current density on the efficiency and energy consumption of the process of electrochemical final water treatment showed that the highest degree of water treatment effect in the case of combined method electrofiotation-coagulation is achieved in the range of current densities of 20-100 \mathrm{A}/\mathrm{m}^{2}, and in case of the electrochemical destruction method in the range of 80-200 A/m2. en_US
