On unbalanced regimes studies in low voltage networks using OPENDSS

Abstract

Low voltage networks are under higher interest in the last period, as they are main targets today for microgrids implementations. There are many challenges in such microgrids and one of them is the study of unbalance in 4 wires distribution network. The paper presents studies of SteadyState regimes in LV networks with 4 wires line segments by using the opensource OPENDSS loadflow program, presents various aspects of load flow calculations and of its results interpretation while making also assessment of power losses in the particular chosen cases.
