Abstract:
This paper presents the experimental study of the single-phase asynchronous motor without external phase-shifting elements for starting. The aim of the tests was to study the starting and operation in no-load and load regimes. Through a series of experiments, main parameters influencing starting performance, rotor inertia, and magnetic asymmetries were analyzed. As a result of load condition testing of the single-phase asynchronous motor prototype, the operating characteristic and mechanical characteristic were constructed, and the electrical losses in the stator and rotor windings under thermal stability conditions were determined. The obtained results demonstrate the impact of various factors on the motor's efficiency under different operating conditions.
