dc.description.abstract GeckoNet addresses the complexities of traditional networks by leveraging SDN for centralized control and streamlined management. Integrating virtualization, monitoring, SDN, and CLI, GeckoNet enhances configuration simplicity, monitoring efficiency, and rapid issue resolution. Key components include a Mininet-based virtual topology, a Prometheus and Grafana-powered monitoring system, and an alert management system with a custom CLI. GeckoNet ensures immediate error detection, resilience through self-healing, and facilitates knowledge transfer among network engineers, making it an effective tool for modern network management. en_US
