dc.description | Research was carried out within the Swiss Government Excellence Postdoctoral Scholarships for Foreign researchers and project of the State Program 20.80009.7007.16 “Synergy between natural factors and environmentally friendly microbiological means of pest population density regulation for crop protection in conventional and organic agriculture”, financed by the National Agency for Research and Development. | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | The conducted experiments have demonstrated that bacteriophages isolated from water revealed high efficacy against bacteria E. amylovora and all studied phage isolates successfully inhibited the fire blight causative agent growth in the plant host tissues for about seven days. Hence it has been shown that treatment with bacteriophages for the fire blight control in the fruit orchard should be carried out weekly if environmental conditions are favorable for the disease development. | en_US |
