dc.description.abstract The process of microwire casting can be one of the methods of nanotechnology and advanced materials. The objective of this paper is to discuss the problem of decision design in the development of an intelligent machine for casting of microwire. The paper presents the decision making structure and describes its elements for microwire production based on direct casting from the melt. The most important element of the decision making structure is given by the drop model. According to this, important details of the model are discussed. The results presented here are intended to be used in the decision support system design for building of the intelligent casting machine. en_US
