dc.description.abstract | This paper briefly depicts the evolution of education from the Industrial Society till the Digital Age. The development of technology has produced several industrial revolutions which led to radical changes in the modern society. One of its imperatives is to take full advantage of the huge variety of open source tools, networks and platforms available today. Consequently, the academic environment felt the necessity of making a similar revolution in education by approaching the teaching-learning process differently.
