dc.description.abstract This paper addresses the problem of water quality and water pollution in river-type systems. A bibliographic study on determination of spatial-temporal evolution of pollutants on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) basis, particularly using Finite Element Method (FEM), was done. A case study on the determination of the concentration field of pollutants in 4 sectors of the Prut River is presented. en_US
