dc.description.abstract In the present study the author determined several stages of development of the fluvial city and the phases of functional existence of "show buildings" (initial function and the adapted functions). The "show buildings" in Tiraspol are located along the main street, with the volumetric-spatial composition visible from the Dniester River, an aquatic surface with a large prospect of perception over the urban skyline. This procedure of subordinating the architecture to the main urban axis, as is the river perceived, is characteristic for the placement of other public buildings from the "heart" of Tiraspol as well. en_US
